Default Ported Exhaust Manifold or Power Log?

Greetings,

If you had a choice between a power log or PEM's, which would you choose? And, if you are adventurous enough, why?

Plog

Even ported manifolds doesn't help the flow of that front manifold enough... Terrible design

You can't PORT the front manifold very much because it is not round. It has a crescent moon shape.

The PLOG makes the front manifolds round and the collector is larger.

Ported rear manifold is pretty decent though if it is cheaper than a rear plog.

They make rear Plogs? I've never seen this.

D-porting is possible and if done correctly results in better flow dynamics than round primaries due to the shape of the exhaust port on the head itself. It's D shaped as well. You can imagine if you stick a round tube over a D shaped port and run anything through it you create a turbulence due to overlap on the flat side.

I had the choice and I went PLOG. It seems like a better idea to me (more open to flow better, removing the front mani from being a restriction in the set up).
