Over revving can bend pushrods, like missing a gear in a manual (or downshifting from too high an rpm). With a modern automatic, that is impossible- the computer won't let you exceed a certain rpm due to the rev limiter (even if your trans breaks and doesn't shift)- and it also won't let you downshift when the rpm are above the redline of the engine. I wouldn't worry at all about bent pushrods in these cars- especially running the stock rev limiter and stock valvetrain- it was designed to do that.
