well im going to buy some intercooler piping to make my new CAI and im just wondering what size i should get? also give me your opinion on what color: red, blue, or regular chrome?? the red and blue is also that chrome type. whatever color i decide to get the pipes in, im going to paint the intake manifold and valve covers. also can you tell me what i have to do for the removal of the intake manifold and and valve covers and reinstall them>> thanks all

For colors just go with the primary or secondary color of the car so it looks like it belongs there.

4" is way too big- thats like 100mm.

3.5" is ~89mm

3.0" is ~76mm

I'd take your stock MAF off real quick and measure the OD of it- or take the tube off your TB and measure that. I'd bet your stock throttle body is probably 2.5" ID (63.5 mm), so I would think a 3" would probably be close to the OD, depending how much the inlet flares on the TB.

do you guys think its a good idea to use intercooler piping?? i mean i can drill the holes to fit and they got some kits on ebay with alot of hardware for real cheap, and what do i do about the pcm how do i keep it protected/

It's basically just a tray that the PCM screws to and it mounts to the car. Your PCM will be exposed, but most of the times they are with an aftermarket intake.

alright thanks, but can you tell me what i have to do to take off teh valve covers and intake manifold cause i want to paint them, what do you think of red, maybe black, im thinking of going with black-chrome pipes for the CAI
