the person you were talking to at K&N's help desk is trained in making BS to cover their butt. and keep to the buisness policy.
the main diff between the 3800 and 3400. (3400 is diff then the 3.4L) is the location of the MAF sensor... the 3400 has a seprate maf. this would require cutting and additional couplers in the kit. since they dont stock the kit with the apropriate modifications, then obviously they arent going to create a kit just for a handful of people emailing them.
also you wont be able to just simply swap TB's from the 3800 to your 3400... they are drasticly different. im not saying its impossible. acause with a good fabriactor anything is possible, but you will need a tuner to retune your car for the different sensors in order to use the new TB. if you are capable of this, fabing up an intake would be a simple task.
i say just make your own. it will be cheeper and i feel better.
