I believe the factory pipes are 2.5" so a center inlet 2.5" diameter would be the way to go. The outlet really doesn't matter much, especially if you plan to put tips on it, just match the outlet with the tip inlet. Stay either 2.25" to 2.5" for the outlet, though.

Remember you need mufflers (plural).

Do you think I should get new tips? Or just keep my stock ones?

Stock ones are welded, so they'd need chopped off and re-welded to the new pipes.

Another consideration are the hangers on the mufflers. If the mufflers you select don't have those hangers you'll need to transfer the ones from the old mufflers over or fabricate new ones.

Maybe if you contact Magnaflow they will give you the part numbers for the mufflers they sell in the cat-back kit. Then it would be a straight forward R&R with minimal adaptation. Those mufflers have the tips already welded on too so that would be one less step to do.

Good point, Mike. Usually though, unless you buy a complete cat-back you won't normally get the hangers with the mufflers. Of course they'll sell you some, though.

I had to get hangers when I did my Magnaflows. For reference, OP, this is what I used for mufflers: MagnaFlow Exhaust Products - For Trucks, Suv's, American Muscle, Diesel, & Sport Compact Vehicles

They're a 2" in and out since I have an LS I needed to add a 'Y' adapter and run new pipe to the mufflers. So for a dual application 2" was good enough for me. No need for big-*** pipes - they won't work for your application however, but just to base your style off of.
