Default Magnaflow Exhaust install

Hey guys. I recently ordered the Magnaflow cat back system for my car. I should be getting it Tuesday. I was wondering if anyone could tell me about the install and how difficult it would be to do on my own? I have a hoist i can use but i am not too familiar with working on exhaust.

thanks for the input

it is pretty much straight forward. if it the bolt on type you would hose down the bolts that you are going to remove when you take it off and lock tite the install. i would get the new rubber hangers for it due to they tend some times to break when messing with the exaughst. remember have a buddy with you when doing it the old exaughst and the new one is a pia when you do it alone i have done it two to many times. on my mustang first time the u joints the second is the clutch when it took a dump. make sure to take your time as well.

thanks. I was unsure of unbolting the cat from the res. Wasnt sure how difficult that might be since it has some rust on it. but i will have to get some pb blaster to get those bolt loosened up. Where can you get more rubber hangers? chevy dealership?

dont worry about the hangers. there should be no issues. i did my magnaflow on the ground in my driveway. it took all of 20 minutes. its a stupidly easy install. just take your time and make sure your tips are even. good thing about you doing it on a lift is you wont have to cut the old exhaust to get it out. you should keep it so you can throw it back on when you go to get rid of the old exhaust.
