Default Looking for new muffler/exhaustsystem for my 99 Monte 3.1L

Hey,

This is my first post on here so forgive me if i did/do anything wrong.

Anyway, i have a 99 Monte Carlo LS with the 3.1L in it and i am looking to make it sound a little better, i can barely hear it run now. I want it to be louder, more grumble, etc. but i don't want it obnoxiously loud. I have been looking for exhausts everywhere and cant even find one to fit.

Also, being a senior in high school i don't want to break the bank if i can help it. That is why I am looking for just a muffler but if you see it fit you can sway me towards a system from the cat back.

Thanks for any help!

I would not spend money on a catback system. How much are u lookin to spend? U can always delete the res and install some Flowmaster/Magnaflow Mufflers? That's probably the cheapest way to get better quality sound.

OK, i didn't want to go the catback route anyway. I was hoping to spend less then $200 at least on parts. I was looking at those 2 but neither have one specifically for my vehicle and i don't/couldn't find what size i would need.

Res delete can be done for no more than like 50 bucks. I've heard of ppl here that have gotten it done for like 20. All depends where u go i guess. Some places may charge like 80. Anyway get universal Magnaflow those should fit. And they are pretty cheap. As far as ur inlets and outlets go u can maybe Google it? Or take it to an exhaust shop n they'll tell u for free
