Thats what I bought recently from ZZP I have a 02'. I got the 2.5 stainless with cat and couldnt be happier (Thanks Chibi for the suggestion) I had a toothless guy from around here put it on for cheap and it works great! lol

 

The downpipe is a great start.

Then you could get into the intakes, then it's optional to get into tuning, or continue the engine mods.

Ya i wouldnt need any help installing it im friends with a bunch of kids with tuners who do all the installs themselves....But today its off to get my car tinted

 

You're supposed to have one on there by law- and if you have emissions, they usually check.

Also- running open downpipe is pretty loud; if this is your daily driver, I doubt you'll last more than a week before you put exhaust on it.

I ran open downpipe on my monte for about a month (granted it was only an occasionaly weekend car)- right after my L67 swap, and the drone and noise was almost unbearable at times. After a 15 minute drive across town on a mini-highway, my ears were ringing when I got to work. Granted my cam makes it louder than normal- but even stock, its still gonna be loud.
