Default Cold air intake mod

If you have a cold air intake you can do a cool mod.

With the mpD INC Cold Air Intake I can really show off my intake at night.

How do you do it, there are little individual leds by varad that come in various colors in sets of 4,

You can glue them inside of the air intake box to make your air intake glow at night.

What you do is get these leds and a little toggle switch and run the power of your parking light like our halos our connected because the leds will come on just at night, with a toggle swith in the middle it acts as a breaker, you can turn the lights for just the intak on or off.

When I order red leds and get them, i will take pics and do a how to install, this is so easy anybody can do it if they can change a headlight bulb.

Thought you all like this mod, your intake can light up in red, or green, white,or blue.

this is a great mod...and if you want the led's to give an even color through a plexiglass cover what you can do is sand down the bottom of the plexiglass cover and that will distribute the light from the LED's more evenly or you can tape off the shape of your filter so you get an evenly lit outline around your filter.

I've had friends make designs in theirs and black out the rest of the plexiglass so the design gets lit. It all depends on how you want it to look...I would recommend putting LED's in not only the top of the sides but in the bottom as well for a brighter light through the sanded plexiglass.

Make sure the sanded part is on the bottom not only for a show smooth finish on the top but it will distribute the light better.

even if you don't have a CAI, given the right power LED, and this would make for a bang up hood light! or both even, with a 3-way toggle switch...

i have red streetglow strobes under my hood and in my trunk...looks pretty sweet going with my headlight and taillight strobes...also thinking of putting a white strobe bar in the engine bay against the firewall as the red stobes are towards the front.
