I have finally decieded to get the K&N CAI! (and have Money, which is rare)

My question is where is the cheapest place to buy the whole K&N shabang??

 

honestly make one it is cheaper and a better set up for the C.A. I.

Now the K&N you can get at auto zone or westren auto etc.. I think the cheapest i have seen them was eithe radvanced or autozone

 

What do ya mean Make one? To me im thinkin bailin wire and duct tape?...lol

Do ya mean ya can peice one together? I have looked at auto zone if i remember right its been a few weeks it was like 250ish does that sound right?


As to makin one is there a write up on that in a tech section?

 

im not real sure if there is actually a write up But if you look up Cold Air Intakes on here i knwo we have told and helped several folks to make them .
they truley are nto that hard. i made min and so has pheionx.

you can go to the suto supply and ge tthe parts to do this it is not to tuff to figure them out after looking at them they are basically a long pipe with a filter on the end of them.

if you look at the one K&N sells for 100.00 you can make it for less then half of it.

i used a part form a ford truck it has a hose that fit perfectly in th efender opening and i used a 90. turn down and put a filter on to it. works great and sounds like a frekin Vacum cleaner.
took like 30min. to get it in there and to make a hanger to hold it up at the bottom out of a small peice of flat steel strapping tha ti had from holding my speaker box from sliding aroudn in the trunk
