Was wondering if anyone else has this issue with their K&N Intake...

Every so often I have to pop the hood and put the intake back into the sleeve connected to the tb as it comes out. I make sure it's nice and tight but no matter what i do it still pops out. Its not very often but its still annoying. What can I do?

 

Just keep tightening it.

How new is it? For the first couple of months after driving it hard and in warm weather the plastic just kept getting loose and I'd have to tighten it a little better each time. Now it's SOLID and hasn't moved for a while.

The Air filter on my truck kept inching its way closer and closer to coming off...I tightened the crap out of it, and used some loctite (removable kind)...so far it has not been an issue since. Maybe you could try the same for yours?

 

I've never had that happen to mine, or any other CAIs that I have had on other cars I have owned.

 

How many months would that be? The warm weather, plus you driving it could just loosen it. It should be settling now though.

I wanna say mine did it for the first 6 months or so.

 

I had that happen once or twice when it was new, but it hasn't fallen off in at least 3 years now. Just keep an eye on it.
