nothing is really going to change the sound (wizaired will make the WOT louder) until you get into your resonator / mufflers

3" DP w/ a cat delete will make it a super super tiny bit louder, with a slightly different tone.

Thats the way I had my old 99 gtp setup- I did the 3" catless DP, then I wanted it a hair louder and took the resonator off- and it ended up exactly like I wanted it.

With a high flow cat, you will only very very slightly change the sound from stock. I'd say if you like the stock sound- then thats just about where you'll be after.

Put my 3 inch catless downpipe on today, I really cant hear much difference at idle. Little raspier when you rev it, but not much.
Not s/c yet, but can feel the difference.

If you want to increase flow while not making it louder then put the powerlog and downpipe in, the change in sound is barely noticeable, you'll be more impressed with the power than the sound change, but this will greatly help flow, and lower KR if you're S/C.

I agree.

After the CAI, do headers or Powerlog + Downpipe

I say don't waste your time with just a downpipe, especially if you can get a set of headers that bolt right up. That was my problem - nobody makes headers for my model Monte, I'd have to modify the firewall and I just don't feel comfortable doing that.

Besides, there are headers available for less than $400 - and if you get a Plog, ported rear, and downpipe, that's running about $300 right there.
