Hi all,
Just put on the K&N cold air intake Thursday. It took my brother and I about 2 hours. Boy, what a difference this thing makes in power and sound. It really almost feels like driving a different car. It also seems to be getting better gas mileage, although with my lead foot issues it is kind of hard to tell. I can say it seems to make the new Magnaflows a bit louder, and seems to make the time between shifts a bit longer. A bit more test driving is in order for the weekend, and that should give more info on MPG. When I checked MPG previously, it was still in the break in period and I was averaging about 18 mpg, (see previous about lead foot issues.)
I would like to thank all the folks here for posting about their own modifications, without which I never would have done mine.

Very nice! It's amazing that something so simple can make such a difference in your car, isn't it? Lol, the first time I hit the gas hard after my install it kind of startled me. I wasn't expecting my car to growl and step up like it did.

Yes, it is really a shock the first few times you get on it a little bit. My wife claims she noticed no difference, but she doesn't have lead-foot disease like me. I find it VERY noticable, especially when you pass someone. It really makes the new mufflers sound better, too, especially when you nail it hard.

i ve look online and i cant seem to find a cold air intake for the 3400 ls i was wondering does one exist or are they only for the 3800 ss

 

i think the k&n one for the 3.8 will work on the 3.4, you may have to modify a little, but it should fit in

I just checked out the zzp site regarding my North* project when I get to it but they don't have the Wizaird up there anymore. I wonder if they stopped selling or just a webpage error?
