Intake Project for 84 Monte

Thanks Jason and bossman. I can't do real expensive mods but to me it is the little stuff that makes my cars mine!! Now if I was to ever hit the lottery for some serious cash...you would most definately see some serious mods!!! But I would also still do those little things that make them special to me. Just wait until you see what I am going to do with the deleted back seat area!! Working it up on paper now.

I used to be horribly impatient but when I hurry I mess stuff up in big ways. So now I read and watch videos and read more about what I need to do. Once I actually hands-on do something, I am good to go and can do it again if I ever have to. It's just having the confidence in myself to try to do something new mechanically. Getting ready to take on removing the carb and intake and figuring out how to get that done correctly plus getting it all put back together. Almost thought about re-jetting and calibrating my own carb but that is not going to happen. LOL

Thank you. I like little details usually because they don't cost as much as the HUGE stuff..LOL The name of my "racing team"(a team of 1..lol) is appropriately named "Broke B**ch Racing"

As Zach said, sometimes it's all about the details. Big or small, cheap or expensive, it all personalizes your car and makes a difference!

As long as it makes a difference to me, that's what it's about I had a question about the pic in your avatar...is that a clear hood?

No, it's a photoshop trick. Last year at the GM Nationals, I asked Mike (Chibiblacksheep) if he'd do me a favor and take pics and photoshop my car with a translucent hood. It came out awesome! Looks even better as a larger pic. I have the aluminum L26 upper intake on my car and aside from high temp clear coat, it's natural aluminum (a brushed/textured look). It's fun seeing people look a little confused at the intake during a car show since that intake was never meant for a Monte

Not trying to thread jack (but you brought it up lol).
Mike did this by staging his digi-cam on a tripod, snapped a few pics of the hood open and a few of it closed, some work with photoshop and presto! I enjoy these shots (they have that car brochure feel).
Here's a larger pic of my avatar (you can see the center lines of the hood in this larger pic):
