Installed Flowmaster 40S..thinking about resonator delete etc
I had Flowmaster 40 Series installed on my 2006 Monte Carlo SS a couple days ago. I love the sound but wish it was a little louder. Does anyone have a similar setup with the resonator deleted? I was also reading about people replacing the resonator with a glasspack. All input is appreciated.

I installed super 44 without res and it was really quiet. That weekend I removed the resonator and straight piped it and it is LOUD at startup now and has a nice loud rumble at idle. Defiantly remove the res. You wont regret it at all.
Different engine, but when I had my 3100, I had a Flowmaster 40 put on. A couple months later had the resonator deleted. ZERO sound difference. Just ended up with a leaky exhaust after a year because of the deleted resonator.
After installing a Cold Air Inductions intake today it sounds a lot better. Ill debate what to do over the next couple days. I think strait pipes would be too loud. I am not looking for obnoxious loud just a little louder.
i ended up doing a resdelete a year after i put on mine it rusted right in the middle still wondering why it did it. the 3500 v6. imo sounds good wit it without the res and the 40 on it. the v8 should sound alot better with out it imo.
