if you have an ls, you might need another additional part from the website so you can have dual exhaust. check out the site, it says right on the bottom of the page what part number you will need for the conversion.

so the gm cat back system is it a 2.5" system and then with Magnaflow mufflers.

And it includes the Magnaflow mufflers, piping, and the resonator pipe piece. does it include the downpipe piece because i do not want that i already have the 2.5"ZZP downpipe.

just for clarification!!! Thanks

I was concediring purchaseing the ZZP Cat back system without the mufflers and putting on the Magnaflow mufflers, but i think this system would be better if it is Magnaflow.

Also if i go down to my local GM dealer they may be able to purchase it and then i wont have to pay for shipping because i just was on the site and shipping was going to be like $96, thats expensive.

I guess I will be going with the SLP stainless catback system from PFYC - only 530 shippped. I am going to forget about the downpipe because I can't afford to throw a code and a tuner is out of the question. After the exhaust is installed, then I will do the u-bend delete and get that welded in.

you should do the u-bend delete WHILE getting the exhaust work done, not after.

Unless you plan on doing the cat-back yourself and having a shop do the delete?

Either way, I'd buy the system, take it to a shop to get installed and tell them to ditch the u-bend while they put this system on.

We have a lift so we will be installing the system ourselves. I am not going to pay for extra labor for something that is as simple as a bolt on.

Have you looked into the u-bend delete that isn't a weld-in?

Or even if you look at the downpipe with the O2 simulator to prevent the code from being thrown (it's not even a guarantee that you will throw the code)

The only u-bend delete I am aware of is sold by ZZ Performance and it needs to be welded to the cat.
I cannot afford to throw a code if I get a downpipe with the high flow cat, so I will not go that route.

the downpipe makes a noticable difference, just because the ubend is gone. strong recommendation to get that, even if it means getting it before your exhaust. it will make more of a difference. especially if you do plan to do a downpipe anyways, why waste money on a ubend if your are plan to buy a downpipe later?

Jaws, you might want to check dealer pricing first because they might not give you a discount, so it would be more expensive even without the shipping to buy from the dealer. i didnt even think about asking the dealer, i just saw the price and jumped on it. its a pretty cheap full system for our cars........most are like 700+
