Well I guess it really isn't another option you have over us (LS4 guys). We have the Magnaflow kit, and ONLY the Magnaflow kit. Good luck with this system. It looks awesome!

I just found out that this won't work with the 05 exhaust???!!!!! I talked to the parts guy at Libertiyville Chevy and he knows his stuff. Why would GM go to the trouble to change a last year design? I can put this system on my 03 and transplant my Dynomax that's on my 03 to my 05.

That does seem quite strange. I'd take a look and make sure for myself. I can't see it being any different.

I went to finish the install today an low and behold the extention (front) pipe is 1 1/2" short, I don't know if the GMPP system is short or the aftermarket downpipe is too short, so I made a spacer from 2 flanges and a piece of 2 1/2" pipe, a little welding, 2 gaskets, and 2 4" x 3/8" bolts and done, now just to put it in
I don't know if this a problem that anyone else who gets this system will have, probably just the combo I have, but an easy fix

so if you order that cheap exhaust off GMpartdirect... it's a magnaflow exhaust system?

I'M really gonna need to hear a sound clip, because half the price of that Borla for another big name is WELL WORTH IT if it sounds good.

the system is GM part #12498617 and can be ordered from any GM dealer (doesn't have to be Chevy) if you can get a discount at the dealer, it'll be cheaper because there is no shipping charge. List price is $640.00, still cheaper than Borla or Corsa
