I like the diy kits, just bc it isnt pretty doesn't mean its not efficient! Nice job!
Honestly $300 seems a little steep imo, but others swear by their purchased kits and they do look more professional and clean..... in most cases. Personally i would diy and save $225 and try and make my own.
Another option you have milrlyt is a drop in K&N filter. Theyre not nearly as pricey as full kits, but they def flow better than stock airfilters and you might see some extra mpgs too as well as increased throttle response. They're ~$50 and re-usable.

Most auto parts stores have Spectre stuff i made one for my saturn when i found a gaping hole in the intake tube....basicly just buy your parts stick them together the way you want to rout it and your done, yeah it's cromed pvc piping but it works
