I like the diy kits, just bc it isnt pretty doesn't mean its not efficient! Nice job!

Honestly $300 seems a little steep imo, but others swear by their purchased kits and they do look more professional and clean..... in most cases. Personally i would diy and save $225 and try and make my own.

Another option you have milrlyt is a drop in K&N filter. Theyre not nearly as pricey as full kits, but they def flow better than stock airfilters and you might see some extra mpgs too as well as increased throttle response. They're ~$50 and re-usable.

idk about spendin 300 dollars on a cai unless it was completely sealed off from the engine bay. im a big believer about the whole hai intake deal. you could make your own intake for less than 80 dollars.

Oh well if there's kits then I'll definitely give it a shot. What are they called, where do you get em?

I'll have to add that to the list of summer projects for the monte then. Sounds like fun.

Most auto parts stores have Spectre stuff i made one for my saturn when i found a gaping hole in the intake tube....basicly just buy your parts stick them together the way you want to rout it and your done, yeah it's cromed pvc piping but it works
i think i spent a total of $40 that was with the tubing, filter and breather
