Looks really good!!

Did you do the paint on the engine cover yourself? Cause that looks real good too. If so What did you use? What was your technique??

Yes i did that my self. I used some of the high temp paint that you can get at any auto parts store.
i first sanded the entire cover because i had painted it before and waqs starting to come off.
I then cleaned the cover of all the old paint dust and every thing.
Then used an adhesion (SP) promoter on the whole cover
Sparyed 3 coats on the cover about 15 mins apart
then i let it dry for a week and then i taped off around the ribs of the cover and used some "Por 15" paint and a foam brush and went over the ribs and "V6" "3800 series ll" then after letting that dry for a day i went over it all with two clear coats of spray paint.

i had an Ebay intake before and i just used the pipe from that.

Thanks for all the compliments

Right know i am painting the outside of it with a high temp flat black spray paint with ceramic in it. So the inside of the box will be like a mirror finish and then i am going to be putting some leds shinning on it to light it up.

Hi `Luke,
Thanks for taking the time to post how you painted your
engine cover. I hope that the other member's do the same.
A special panel of the MCF has met to check out your work.
They looked close at everything.
[:-] Check it Out [:-]
After a long/intense inspection, they concurred on the highest grade, and they give you a big A + WoW
Luke, thanks for `Sharing,
Space, & the Bums : )

I am also ordering another engine cover from ZZP for $15 and am going to try some of the ideas from ClubGp with there wire mesh cut outs for it.

The intake and the cover looks badass. How long did it take you to make your shield for your intake.
