Default exhaust ideas

hey guys, i was wondering if anyone had any good exhaust ideas for my 1996 m/c z34. i want a full cat-back system, any ideas for mufflers that would sound good and free up some hp as well as be wallet friendly. and should i replace my resonator with a glasspack or an aftermarket resonator? i was watching videos on youtube the other day and i got an idea to do my tips like a corvette. i still have my stock tips and they look almost identical to vette tips except smaller. would this look good on a 96? also should i go with 2.5 in piping? thanks guys, i look forward to seeing alot of replies.

Here is a link to the catback I have.

You can get it in stainless or aluminized and you can order a magnaflow resonator with it (recommended, I wish I wouldnt have removed my resonator). I have the 2.5" stainless kit and I am running flowmaster 40 (knockoff) mufflers. I really like the sound, but mine has drone since I dont have a resonator. If you keep the resonator and go with the flowmasters I guaruntee you will LOVE the sound.

its hard to tell with the mufflers. You would have to just try them to tell. I dont know of anyone running mustang mufflers on an LQ1.

A resonator doesnt have fiberglass packing inside like a glasspack does. Thats the biggest difference. A resonator will rid you of drone and rasp and a glasspack will act as a muffler. I wouldnt run a glasspack AND mufflers. I wouldnt use a glasspack at all IMO, never liked how they sound. I would just use a resonator and two mufflers.

thanks. i had to remove my pipes i had put in place of my mufflers yesterday because the place that put them in used pipes that were too thin and are rusting through in a few spots. i havent been driving it for about a week and i wanna do my exhaust the same day i fix my trans bc where i cut the mufflers, the are under the car and when i would get into o/d my interior would vibrate and rattle >_< and i hateeee that. im thinkin about just buyin two turbo mufflers and saving up more money later on.
