well its raining and HARD today. tomorrow should be nice.. i got to go visit a college. I'll record it for you on my cell phone and post it up here... hopefully

i got new tips (got some 3" again.. woot!!). and since my y pipe had to be extended alittle, and some brackets welded on the pipes to hold them up, AND labor.. it costed $110.

i think the exhuast shops around here have some kind of damn union, theres 3 of them and they all charge out the !(%&!_@%&!@%

 

Not to rain on you parade ... but, there's good reason to not have the pipes be too loud. Hearing loss. If those pipes are real loud and slightly below the pain threshold; you'll suffer permanent hearing loss and "Hearing Loss is Cumulative" ... that is to say ... if you suffer a little bit of hearing loss because you have straight pipes ... it don't come back and it just gets worse as you are exposed to the loud noise more and more.

 

yeah... the car has a lot of sound dampening material... i think its alright though. i know 128 db causes permanent hearing loss... nad I had a dixie horn that was 118 db... its not louder than that thing. atleast i wouldn't think so.

 

High freqs are the ones that you can feel and are sometimes painful. Low freqs are less painful but intensely more harmful because they cause the eardrum to stretch. Be careful, not just for yourself but for others that will be exposed to the exhaust note too.

 

I love a good set of pipes but prefer them on trucks
