EGR delete

EGR delete
I am considering deleting the EGR on my car and have a tuned PCM made to go with it. My question is, does anyone have an EGR delete? It doesn't really matter which engine, I just want to know how much performance increase there is. If the difference isn't noticeable, I wont bother.

if u live in a state that does testing don't bother you will never pass, with these newer cars i have heard that it can decrease mpg

No power increase at all. EGR only recirculates exhaust gas at part throttle- never at idle (engines have a hard enough time keeping a steady smooth idle as it is) and never at WOT.
I turned off EGR (well I set the pcm disable temperature so high that it would never come on) on my GTP after seeing all the carbon buildup in the intake manifold. After taking like a 2-3 mpg hit (even after a little tweaking on my tune), I decided it wasn't worth it and re-enabled it. Not much way to get around it- at part throttle where you don't need all the power, it partially fills your cylinders with inert gas- meaning less fresh air coming in and less fuel needed also.
I do have it completely removed on my monte- thats partially for looks, partially for weight savings, but mostly for the fact that I don't want it plugging up my intercooler core (something most people don't have to worry about).
