If you have a 3.8L v6, then go to zzperformance.com, go to the exhaust section, and look at the downpipes.

If you have the 3.1L, then I don't know what to tell you.

i would just go to an exhaust shop and have them weld in a section of pipe. should not cost much at all, and it will take them all of 15 mins to do. i'm guessing it will cost you maybe $20 or so. call up a few shops and ask them how much it will run you. pretty easy estimate for them to make.

The hard part will be finding a shop that will do it because they can be fined quite a bit for getting caught. I doubt you'll find one that will admit over the phone that they willfully disable emission devices, so your best bet is to go in and be discreet about it.

Any reason you don't want to put a replacement on?

ah yes, good point bumpin. i didn't think of that. your best bet might be to find a friend that has a welder and have him or you do it. i wouldn't think an aftermarket replacement would be that expensive, but i maybe i'm wrong. check out the junk yards. they might have a used one you could get.

Its atleast $3500 fine if a shop is caught removing a converter. We have a old poster up in my shop that states this, so may be even more now. I would just get a replacement. Removing it will set off your MIL anyways. I'll admit we've gutted them before to get a customer by until they can afford to replace them, but never completely removed them
