buzzsaw noise at 2000 RPM
Hey my 04 monte ss has been making a really annoying steely buzzsaw noise at 2000 RPM latly. I know it doesn't have anything to do with the engine, don't think it the trans. I know I need a new cat; just can't pin- point it. Please help.

This topic sounds familiar. Was it posted elsewhere on MCF?
Do you hear the noise when the car is in Park?
If yes, do you hear it more when you rev the car in park?
If the answer to both questions was yes, check you exhaust, specifically the resonator.
If your answer is no, and it happens while driving and increases with speed, sounds like it could be a wheel hub.
