Default Bad O2 sensor...now which do I get

Well I got my Magnaflow cat and u-bend delete done yesterday and it turned out very nice. I can tell some difference in power, sound and even more so gas mileage. But anyways when he was doing the u-bend delete we saw that the O2 sensor was pretty clogged up and needs to be replaced. So my question is should I get a regularO2 sensor orjust get the O2 simulator? Tell me what you guys think.

I would personally get a simulator since you have the aftermarket cat. I would just be afraid that at some point in the future, the SES light may come on for malfunctioning cat (many high flow/aftermarket cats can set off the light occasionally). You'd hate to spend $50 on an O2 sensor only for it to throw a light 2k miles down the road and need to get a sim.

i'd get the simulator. .so if you decide you want to just cut the cat you don't have to worry about it.... plus, don't have to woryr about another sensor going bad.

Yes see that was exactly what I was thinking. However I do have that hole cut for the O2 to go in so what do I do with that?

What year Monte do you have? 04-07 can't use the simulator.

Make your own simulator. The 2g DSM guys do it all the time. http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/arti...simulator.htmlis the site. The concept should work the same.

04intimidator is right.... and i just dont know about making your emulator ( ibelieve its called an emulator, not a simulator from www.zzperformance.com) for the emulator, you don't even need to put it in your exhuast. youcan just mount it beside the exhuast pipe and that little tunnel the exhuast goes in.this is because it reports back the same information all the time anyway, so it doesn't have to be in the exhuast to work.

Either leave the old sensor in there, or buy a plug- most exhaust shops should have them, or you can get one online.
