Default Got some subs now which amp?

I got two 12" Sony Xplod subs
http://www.xplodsony.com/xplod/subwoofers/XS-L123P5B
and box.

Which kind of amp would you guys recomend for this set up? Sorry I'm new to the mobile audio world. I have 8 guage wiring already hooked up and everything else set up besides the amp(all done by my uncle), but now I need an amp to power it all. Any suggestions?

imma fan of rockford fosgates. i hope you have a fuse in line to crutchfield should have some decent amps to power them for a decent price. they also have damaged box/open box items you can look at

what made u decide on sony for subs?? u could do a lot better for around the same price.. since u have such an entry level system id recommend profile amps, they've worked well for me in the past and they r great on a budget.

personally this is what i went with. keep in mind that my whole system is polk and i love it...
amp http://www.polkaudio.com/caraudio/pa/index.php#pa1100_5
6.5" http://www.polkaudio.com/caraudio/db/index.php?s=db651
6"x9" http://www.polkaudio.com/caraudio/db/index.php?s=db691
subs http://www.polkaudio.com/caraudio/mm...hp?s=mm1240dvc

so depending on how you ran your interior speakers and how much room you have i would recommend this amp. it is great

Room is not a problem. I got the subs and box all new for $90 so I said hey why not. I do have inline fuse set up. I do not exactly which size amp I would need. All I know is its not a dual coil set up.

I would say something along the lines of an Alpine MRP-M500, and wire them up like this.

This will give them about 250 watts rms to each sub.
These alpine amps are small and compact but put out lots of power, i got one on each of my Alpine type-e subs and its too loud at times in the monte.
I have had the amps for almost 3 years now and never have they had a problem, extremely reliable and seem to be underrated from what i can hear.
