Out of all the exhaust systems out there for the 3.8, Borla Exhaust sounds the best. Only thing is they cost like $1,000. If you can I think you should just replace the resonator, maybe with an aftermarket resonator if you want it to be a little louder. The 3.8 without a resonator sorta sounds crappy, I think. But between Flowmaster and Magnaflow go with Flowmaster, with a downpipe, that helps the sound. Still, if you want good sound save up and buy Borla, or Corsa.

If you want a deep rumble and you are on a budget go with Dynomax catback (non stainless that costs around $400) or SLP catback (Stainless that costs around $520).

Flowmaster will be louder. The magnaflow is usally deeper and mellower. Make sure you check some you tube clips for how they sound first.
