Ahh.... loud exhaust = hole in resonator... advice please
So I was looking to doing my exhaust with glass packs because I heard there was a hole in my exhaust somewhere and i figured since I was under it might as well... Turns out the hole is in my wicked rusted out resonator.. SOO new problem. Keepign in mind I wanted to make the exhaust louder....
So now Im just gonna get rid of the resonator and leave my stock muffler and aftermarket tips cuz theyre all welded on and I'm low on cash and can't weld. The resonator is like 32in when i measured it and its flanged after the cat and u-bend (and the bolts are rusted to hell..) and welded to the y-pipe connecting the mufflers.
This is what I was thinking:

(need to find a 2.5" though)

http://www.jegs.com/p/JEGS/JEGS-Exha...51060/10002/-1
(Id just clamp it to the muffle end since its not flanged like the other end of the resonator)
Is this a good plan of action? Any other ideas? Should I put a glass pack in place of the resonator? I have about 100-150 Im willing to spend, maybe a tad more if I can be convinced the sound will be worth it. TIA guys!

with the options 2.5 bolt in with cat. Then just run the pipe back to the mufflers.
***edit: Nevermind on this option, turns out to be about 200 bucks with the options I need.

wasn't holding out much hope from the get go, but since I work near a midas i figured Id ask... they wanted $150 to do it and the guy at the counter had never heard of a resonator, i had to explain what it was. All the other shops around where I work didn't know either. Most didnt even want to try it, and nearly all asked why I would want to get rid of it...
Guess Ill go back home to the mom and pop muffler shops
