Hi everyone, im new to the forum, and am only 18 but i want to learn a lot about montes. I own a 2003 3.4L v6, and i want to get a mew muffler for it to get a louder deeper sound. I know it wont be as loud or as deep as a v8. I was wondering what you guys thought would be a good choice and maybe some links? Ive beem looking but i cant find any for a single exhaust v6 just dual exhaust v8s. Thanks!

 

That's a hard question to answer because what sounds good to some doesn't to others.. I used SLP loud mouth mufflers on my 2005 monte SS supercharged I like the sound , yeah it don't sound like the V8 in my corvette with headers an side pipes or my 1940 chevy V8 flow masters mufflers..

 

I want a deeper louder noise than stock. However i cant do a res. Delete or a cat delete due ti state laws. So i was thinking of putting either a magnaflow or a SLP on it with some nice exhaust tips.

 

Hey Chris, this is what I'm looking to do on my 2000 LS. This is a Flowmaster 80 series Camaro muffler; love the throaty rumble to it. Is this more in line with your idea?

 

Do a dual exhaust set up, buy the pipe for the SS and add a muffler to the other side, remove resonator while u at it too and install some deep sounding mufflers like that of a flow master super 44... For example. Boom your set from there. I have an 03 LS with sat set up and it's the deepest sounding 6th gen Monte I've heard since I bought this car in 02
