Question 03 ls single to dual exhaust???

I am going to convert my car from single to dual exhaust this spring and i want to delete my resinator and CAT any have any suggestions

Single to dual exhaust ? are you talking a true dual or single going to two mufflers ?

true dual basically isnt going to happen. youll need a ypipe and 2 mufflers and tips

Just need to install a hanger on the driver side, and run the Y-pipe to dual like the SS

Borla is a good brand for mufflers.

If you remove the cat though, you're going to have to do something with the rear O2 sensor. ZZP has an O2 emulator, but it's kinda pricey ($60). Or you could get the PCM reflashed, but that can be a little pricey too ($125 at ZZP).

depending on state inspection requirements, you may have to have a cat to pass emissions inspection!

You can do whatever you like to your Monte. That's your choice. I just wanted to let you know what all was involved in removing the cat. On the other hand, you can remove the res without any worry of tuning or anything.

Also, Michigan has no inspections.

Not trying to thread jack, but im planning on doing the same thing. I think i remembered reading this somewhere...
Does removing the u-bend and resonator decrease back pressure?
Does that mean less low end torque?
Is it a noticeable loss?
