The claim is 15% more spark than a stock coil Lets say a stock coil is 40,000 volts that's about 6000 extra volts . Shoot that across a .060 spark plug gap and I don't see where the 5 Wheel hp is coming from, perhaps Crankshaft hp but if your loosing 10% - 15% of power from the crankshaft I don't see it happening. I'm with ChibiBlackSheep on this and would suggest a tune would be better and probably get you more actual power.

If you want to swap coils, get a good deal ($30-$50) on a set of working OEM 3800 Supercharged coils. Not a huge change, minor, but a lot less money to invest. My L36 Monte and LA1 Grand Am both have them (I got them from the junk yard). Again, minor difference.

But for a 3400/3800 NA Monte Carlo, I agree grabbing a set of coils from an L67 is a nice little cheap boost.

That's a total waste IMO. Stock LS coil packs have been used on plenty of 1k+ hp builds. $200 is a good chunk towards other mods that'll actually add power - a cam, an intake manifold swap, etc.
I do also think it's a bit funny in general that they even offer stuff like this for sale. Back in the clubgp days on the 3800, they would rip on other vendors for selling junk like this that did nothing (including coil packs). They would brag about how other vendors would trick you into buying stuff you don't need because their stock bottom end, stock this, stock that turbo car ran 10s, then 9s, etc.
Now they offer much of this stuff for sale themselves. I understand to a point, at the end of the day it's just about making money. There are people coming from other platforms where certain mods are ingrained in their heads, and they're going to buy this kind of stuff from someone, so it may as well be them.
