Well, everyone seems to be getting about the same as me, so I'm not gonna be too concerned about it. Of course I read the sticker when I bought the car. I was just hoping that where most of my driving is highway driving I would be a little closer the the 29 than the 20. I don't consider 22 to be "right in the middle"...I'm gonna try driving a tank at 65, see if that makes any difference...no way am I going any slower than that!

I heard thoses ESTIMATED MPG stickers aren't very accurate.. They are more computer program simulations, then actual on hands testing . In fact the govenment is going to make a change in that. And make it more accurate.

I get 26-27 consistantly driving 90 miles round trip and I always set my cruise at 72. Just keep up on your maintenance and tire pressures, that makes a huge difference.

I rented an 06 LT on my way back from California visiting my girlfriend for new years. I filled up before I left Chico, CA and didn't have to fill up till I reached Oregon City, OR. I used the cruise the whole time and encountered some real strong rain.

I'm from Canada, and just returned from a trip to Florida. I have an 07 SS with the V8 and got over 23 mpg overall. This is based on the trip computer in the car, which I'm sure measures the MPG based on the U.S. gallon which is smaller than our Canadian Gallon. This would compute to over 30 MPG on our Canadian gallon, which is just as good as I was getting on my 3.8 Supercharged 04 model. The Canadian MPG estimate on the cars build sheet calls it at 36 MPG highway, but I'm more than happy with what I got. My SS has that cylinder de-activation stuff on it, which must help on long trips.

According to the issue of Comsuer's Report I have with new cars in it, they start the '07 Monte SS got worse then the estimated mpg it was rated at with the pwoer on demand feature.

So far my 3.9 is getting about a month per fill up. I guess that's pretty good mileage?

With my 07 SS I was able to Drive from Virginia to Pennsyslvania which is a 8 hour drive for me with one tank of gas. I got 27 mpg when I divided the number of miles I drove to the next fillup gallons. And that was driving 75-80 most of the way and up mountains thru West Virginia.

27MPG in an SS...I call BS. I've yet to hear 1 person who owns an 06-07 SS get anything even remotely close to 25.

I could see that in the 3.5 but they get over 30mpg too. SS does not even come close to that.
