WOW! is the only way to describe my ride in to work this morning!!! Here is a news flash... Get snow and Ice on your wheels and your car will shake like you will not believe shake... It will feel like a 8.0 Earth Quake!!!

With over a foot of snow on the ground, our lot at work yesterday was not plowed when I got there, so I was forced to drive through it and plow my own path. On the way home, the car had a little vibration around 65-MPH. I get on the XPressway this morning and at 55-MPH the car started shaking BADLY, like so bad I could not hardly see and my head was bouncing off the headliner! I couldn't get off so I tried to go faster, in hopes it might smooth out, but NO WAY! It shook even harder. I thought the front end was going to fall off. I get to work and drive it straight into the service. I told them what was happening and they took a water hose and sprayed off mywheels and told me to take it for a ride. SMOOTH AS SILK!

A little snow and ice on the back side of those 18" wheels and your car will SHAKE BADLY!!! WOW! I couldn't believe that! I never had that problem with any other car I owned. The mechanics tell me it is because of the offset. Well... at least I know what it is and more importantly, how to fix it... but WOW what a ride in today!!! It was actually quite scary!!!

Well... It's pretty clear I wasn't thinking... much like every morning...

 

wow... never thought a little ice wuold make a differnece.. i guess it's kind of like those little being "balancer"S they put on wheels.. cars don't make much difference ,but you cna move one 2" on my dads 18 wheeler and cause a world of mess.
