I love how if you wanted to modify the engines in the cars that first you would have to find it under all the plastic and then u realize that there is no room in the engine bay to even do anything with it

All i see it the battery and plastic where the engine is i think
the worst thing about all that plastic is the dealer can charge you more if you take it into service it, because now they have to add in the time to remove and re-install all that plastic. stupid.

I will not trade my Monte

Matter a fact I think all imports need to be loaded on a ship and ship back to where they came from.......
Heck sink that ship halfway cross ocean.
Don't take this the wrong way but, have you ever take a look around the monte? What % of the monte do you think is manufactured overseas? Not assembled but manufactured. Let's face it, we all better start learning mandrin soon... lol

But what would you rather do, support your own countries auto manufacters or give all our auto manufactuing to overseas companies? would you rather have your neighbor working at a good auto maker, or working at McDonalds flipping burgers?

That is why I will not buy a Import.

Believe you me, I do not support over seas manufacturing of any kind and it's a shame we let our manufacturing capabilities dwendle to to capicity it has. Our economy is quickly becoming a service based economy and we will step aside one day as a world super power. I hope we don't see it in our future but were headed there quickly. Everything we make here is reverse engineered overseas and sold back to us for 1/2 the cost. We can either get competitive or close our borders to free trade. Getting competitive will lower our standards of living and closing our borders to free trade will not happen in our life time if at all.

Pardon me while I go out back and practice my burger flip..

LOL, Yeah I know exactly what you are saying. It is a shame that things are heading that way. It is a shame the Govt cant or wont do anything about the trade imbalance. But I will do my little part by not buying Imports. The really bad thing is we really only have two american car companies Left. and they are both in trouble. Then again they are not really offering anything that I really want to buy. I am Very Happy with my Monte, the only other thing any of the car companies could sell me is a full size chevy pick up. other than thatnothing out there trips my trigger.

I support whomever makes the best QUALITY product period. If someone else can do it better than Americans so be it. Maybe, MAYBE one day Americans will wake up and produce a quality product that will not only rival but beat the imports.

I would never trade my Monte for any of those cars but I woudln't mind having the new Altima as an every day car. Hate the look of Pontiacs now (GM totally ruined that brand for me) and Honda is still too boring style wise for me.
