My other car is a 1992 Camaro convertible, and a gas-guzziling 96 Ford Bronco, so yes the Monte will get lots of use this Winter

FWD is a huge plus in the Winter, and oh yeah, 20MPG ftw!

If the Bronco wasn't in need of some TLC, I'd drive it maybe once every couple weeks during the snowstorms?

Mine is my DD. Will be driving it all winter until I trade it in on hopefully a G8 around April.

Default Left option out......

For all y'all who are "non Texans", sadly, there is another option. "Who doesn't NEED to store their Monte Carlo for the winter". Although the calendar says winter, and all 3 days it snows makes "mowrons" (spelling comes with a Texas accent) drive faster so they can make it home before they have an accident, I still keep Darlin on the road. That is, except for those 3 days. God Bless Texas

Hey guys thought I would show you what I do with the monte in the winter and my biggest reccomendation. Now I know most people won't be able to accomodate this as I do have a abnormally large backyard but a few years ago I purchased a heavyduty shleterlogic popup garage. These things are amazing 2 inch piping very strong fasten into the ground weather proof canvas and also I put a thermal car cover over the monte too.
Here is a couple pictures of when we were building the garage it sits right behind my normal one car garage, we have since killed the grass layed down gravel and a foundation of slabs. I have power outlets in the garage now and hanging from the top I've installed 3 lights and a small place heater. That's the best part about it I can work on my car in the winter still and stay warm.

and here's a quick pic of my winter beater guys my 97 buick century runs great and I have my original monte rims wraped with winter tires on it too!

Again guys this is a MUST HAVE for anyyyy guy trying to please his girlfriend/wife with a empty garage! haha

This is how mine will sit for winter. Obviously this picture wasn't taken during the winter but this is how it will be (Dad's 72 is in the background so this was taken summer of 2011 before he sold that car). (1) I'll wash it one last time pretty soon, (2) fill the gas tank and add Sta-bil, (3) change the oil, (4) hook up my Battery Tender, and (5) throw the cover on it. Apparently we were suppose to have a "warmer than average" October but so far that is completely false. Just like we were suppose to have a cold and snowy winter last year and we all know how that ended up. Oh well, it's Michigan. We'll have an 80 degree day here and there in November.

mine gets parked in the garage, no special treatment but that may change after reading some comments here. we had a pretty warm winter and not alot of snow last year. of course i never drove it when there was snow or salt out, but i was able to take it out at least a few times each month without feeling bad.
