I stored mine last winter for the first time and will again this year, although I'm waiting until the first snow or around Thanksgiving to do so. As long as it's above freezing so I can wash the car before I throw the cover on it. I like getting as much as possible out of the car during the year. No reason to put it away in October if there's still decent weather for a while. Our first snow in southern Michigan usually isn't til around Thanksgiving anyway.

Mine gets stored in my Dad's unheated garage. I will put moister absorbers inside the car, trunk and engine compartment. I use a battery tender that actually conditions the battery. I also have an Evolution 4 outdoor car cover I use just incase my dad is carless to avoid dings. I put a full tank of gas in it with Stabil. I also park on top of a tarp because his floor isn't sealed. Lastly I put plastic bags around the tailpipes to avoid critters or moisture to get in an rust out my mufflers. It goes in the 1st of November and doesn't come out until the 1st of May - that also saves me on car insurance.

We actually drive our Monte Carlo more in the winter, and the convertible gets a break. But there is usually at least one day every month suitable for top down driving so even the convertible is not really stored away, always ready to go... and the truck is turning wheels all year long.

It's great to read that 50% of the voters at the time of this post are fortunate to be able to store their Monte in bad weather
Thanks Member's for your contributions & thanks Dave/Amy & member's that added some great tips for storage

I have a set of snow tires that i will put on around the end of nov and then it's daily driving as usual.
Personally I think thats just one of the great aspects of the MC's is that it does handle pretty good in the winter - plus, block heater, remote start & heated seats are great options for winter.
Although I am guilty of not really winterizing the car at all.
But I do park in my garage overnight all year around.

I can't store my car, it's my only car. I don't have snow tires either, I'm a poor college kid lol. I do, however, attach a large snow plow to the front and drive 60mph down the expressway with 5 inches of snow on it. Not really. That sounds like fun though.

No snow = no need to store for the winter

Kinda makes up for the last couple nasty hot months
