Default Why does my AC button light come on?

Sometimes when I start my car, the AC button light comes on. I have not used the AC or defrost yet so the button has been off but sometimes when I start the car, the button light will be on indicating the AC is on.

What could be causing this and is this an indication of an electrical problem? Does anyone else experience this? Thanks.

In order to keep the A/C from locking up from a lack of use, some modern cars turn the a/c on every time you start the car to make sure to keep it turning and to prevent it from being broken when spring time comes. Maybe that's what it's doing?

I don't know. It doesn't come on every time I start the car, just occasionally. I've never had any car that turned on the AC when you started the car when the AC was off.

I guess I will just live with it unless it becomes a problem.
