There was a black 2007 SS sitting on the show room floor at the Chevy dealer I was at. I looked it over, and loved the look/ comfort. Then asked the sales guy if he had any V6's on the lot. He said actually I have 2. One was a used silver 06 LT3 with the 3.9L and 41,000 miles asking was $16,900. The other was a brand NEW 2006 LT1 with a 3.5L V6, and less than 100 miles on it, sticker was $24,000 and change. Since it was already a year old, and sitting on the lot, they instantly offered me $3,500 off the sticker. So I drove it, and fell in love with it, and already loved the color. Then talked a little with the sales guy. Told him it was way out of my price range, but I liked the car. So he tried to sell me on the used one which was a little cheaper. I told him no way, I can't stand silver (personal opinion), and with over 40K on it the price was to high. I wanted the NEW blue one. So he went and talked to the sales manager. Came back out with $5K off sticker, plus 0% APR for 5 years...next thing to do was sign papers!
I always liked the Monte, and REALLY liked the updated body style in 06, but never imagined i'd own one. After driving it, I LOVED it. Now my love for the Monte is scary. LOL!

And I was looking at z28's and v6 maros but insurance was too high... and I took it on a test drive and it seemed like a good car...

Oh right the reasoning :P
My Mom's dream car was always a Monte Carlo. She finally was able to purchase one, brand new, ordered to her (my) liking, and purchased. Always knew I was getting the car, loved it ever since it was purchased into my family. It was given to me as a gift when they got a 2006 SS, but I have since paid them for it, and help them out as much as possible wherever I can.

Trust me, if I could have afforded it at the time, I would have gotten it. But I was making a lot less money then, and paid for my own gas, so with the amount of driving I did, it just was not practical, nor could I afford it to begin with... If only I would have boughten a year later. LOL.
As much as I wish I had the V8 sometimes, I don't regret my car at ALL. In all honesty, I won't always have a company gas car (in hopes of finding a new job sometime soon), and when I move out and buy my own house, i'll be commuting A LOT, so my car was the better decision then, and now. But there will always be the want for that V8 rumble, and 303 HP!

Got tired of a civic as my daily. Went to my friends carlot and it stood out. My friend had one, I believe it was an intimidator, all I remember is it was supercharged. So I asked my friend if it was supercharged, he said yes, and I did the paperwork. Being my friend I didnt check out the engine bay and hes never lead me wrong on a car. Boy was I mad when I got home. He ended givin me a 1,000 off so we called it even.

My first monte was a 97 and I fell in love with it but didnt care for the engine setup or the body style..... then the new body style came out but couldnt afford one at the time. I was a senior in high school and my buddy and I just turned 18 so we thought it would be fun to just go test drive cars lol..... well later that night i drove the red pace car and was shocked how much of an improvement it was from my 97.... I ended up buying it that same night, then did research and found out about the pace car thing and thats when the work began to make it a show car and everything I have ever wanted! 10k later in parts and accesories.... Im more in love with it than I ever thought possible.... all because of one night!
