I had a 06 Cobalt SS 2.4 it was having engine problems...I was suppose to pick up a rental car that morning from the dealer...and they didnt have one...so the dealer stated he could make a good deal on the Monte..took him on it..

 

I bought my Intimidator SS on Ebay! Bought it for basically half price ($17,900 for a $34,000 car). Less than 5,000 miles, 7 month of in service, from a F_rd dealer 600 miles away in PA! Sent a buddys brother to get it with an enclosed trailer in the middle of a blizzard.

 

At a used car dealership October15th 2007. I owned it just over a year.

 

In December 2005 I was thinking about trading in my black 2000 SS for a new 2006 SS with the V8.They were just starting to show up on dealer lots about that time.I did dealership inventory searches online and decided I wanted a laser blue one with silver ground effects.(I wanted a change after the black 2000).I found one listed at a dealership about 12 miles away,so I went to check it out the next day.They told me the car was ordered but didn't come in yet.Apparently GM lists a car as in stock when the order is processed.
They made me a more than fair offer on my trade,plus they had a Red Tag sale going on,which knocked off another $2000 or so.I gave them a deposit,and they said it was scheduled to come in any day.Well..........I waited over 2 months.I was tempted several times to back out of the deal and buy another one somewhere else.I looked at a black one and a silver one,but I really wanted the blue.My wife even said"you better wait for the one you really want"They called me on a Friday night and said it finally came in,and I could pick it up Saturday.
The first time I saw it was when I went to pick it up.The first time I drove it was to go home.
I have 19000 miles on it now,and even after almost 3 years I can still say it is my most favorite of any car I ever owned,and I have probably owned 25 or more.
