Default Whats a Haines Manual!

So it seems that I am one of few people that work on their own cars who buys the Haines Manual for that car. I've spoken to a few mechanics and suggested it here, But when I do I get a look like I'm growing a fifth head? I know a lot about cars, But I learn new things about them with every new one I get. But I have had the Haines manual for every car I've owned. If for nothing else, to be able to find where the This or That is in this car. And it helps. I know you can Google almost anything. But you can't have Google right next to you when you are figuring out what order to put the springs your disc brakes. Idk, I think it is an information resource that is not taken advantage of as much as it should be.
Just My Thoughts!

The Haynes and Chilton's books are great starter guides (and for some, all they ever need). I believe Helms makes the factory shop books (which details every aspect of the car in a book or two about 3+ times as thick as the Chilton/Haynes guides).

No doubt, there is still something to be said about those books. But by the same, smartphones, tablets and highspeed Internet all around is making more and more info readily available, even when sitting next to the car working on it lol.
