Default what would you do. Engine talk

This is a Hypothetical question for you but for me i will have to pick a final option....

Some specs... i have a 83 monte. Used to be a V6 but some buddys of mine swaped it for a V8 from a 1991 cadillac brougham 350 5.7 liter (from what i learned its intened to be a fuel injection system) 350 turbo transmission, edelbrock intake and a edelbrock carb two barrel (choke is mechanicaly set and never moves from the slightly open positions) /electric fuel pump':::
Mostly all my electric wires(odometer, speedometer, ac, heat, window wipers, ext..have been cut..

Ok now that you have a little picture, What would you do??? In all seriousness. I want to keep this car for a lifetime.

Addition info... my car runs rich, it has power, it seems healthy. I service it i just know i could be rolling better.
God bless you Guys

Wow that's pretty rare( swapping of cadillac motor) and yes it is intended for fuel injection system but if it works for ya , i would change to 4bbl carb for starters and add headers. Everything depends on you and what your capable of doing and want to payout, these projects get real expensive really quick! I'm still shelling out big bucks but those days are just about cause my 83 monte is just about complete. also do plan on just cruising or racing depends on which route to take with car.

I cant really speak for the old monte but my 86 c10 had a 355 swapped from a caddy (from what the vin# says) the guy I got it from said it had bored 305 heads on it with a mild cam and all my electronics had been cut except speedo/gas/aftermarket tach. it had a th350 3 speed trannywith a 373. rearend, I kept it just like it was eventually cleaning all the old wires out and having just the shiny engine in there,my speedo had 85 on the dash put ive had it wrapped around to 20+mph,

it depends on what route you want to go,drag/show/your own way.i had mismatched rims and the paint was flat black and peeling with a shattered windshield,i used it to my advantage to make people think it was a pile of junk but when someone lined up to me i always left them sitting at the light hahah

Thank you guys both for your point of views. I was originaly just going to buy a 4barrel carb then all these questions came to me...

One questions i had was what if any damage am i doing running a fuel injected system with a carb.
Another question I had was if I where to go the fuel injection route what all would i have to do/change

im not too sure about that since ive never swapped one,but I know my truck had a 4bbl edlebrock 650cfm and I usually got around 13 mpg's on a good day but that 3 speed tranny and big rearend didn't help lol,but if I was you I would switch to fuel injection to save on gas since yours is a DD,

does your monte have A/C?

It "appears" to have a/c lol. Its just not connected to my knowledge. ..

I was looking on u-tube at carb conversions to Throttle body injection witch the original caddy 350 had, im weighing my options.

Will i lose my "getty up-ness" switching back to TBI and whats the real damage if any rolling with a good carb set up on an engine intended for fuel injection
