ram air is a hoax, look it up on wikipedia--u need to be going at supersonic speeds to really get anything worth the cash. Unless you dont mind paying $800 for 15 hp max

 

wait, I was wrong. You can expect no gains whatsover from ram air.

 

but you get the cool look of it

there must be some gain from it though...your going to be getting cold air come through it directly into the filter system...they've been running these hoods and cowl hoods for years and years...there must be some benifit to it...it would be the same as putting your air filter directly to an opening on the front of your car....the more cold air the better

 

For me the hood would be more for looks than performance but i would agree with wiz kid it would be putting colder air into the engine bay

I chose the spoiler. I am very old school and I don't think Monte Carlos ever came with "ram air" hoods so I probably wouldn't put one on.
