I get the letters too. I even got a call from the dealership that I got my recall fixed at about trading in my 03. I politely explained to them that I will probably never get rid of my 03 and that Chevy doesn't make a replacement car for it (large size 2 door coupe). I also used to get B-Day cards and X-mas cards from my sales lady at the dealership that I bought my 03 from (it has since went out of business so I don't get cards any more

They probably went out of business cause they used what every money they had on sending out cards and letters.

Wow. All of us are getting these letters from dealerships saying they have a demand for our Monte Carlos.

Makes me wonder. If there is such a demand for Monte Carlos, why did GM stop making them? And why can I still find unsold 2007 Montes sitting on the lots?

Funny JJ
You don't see too many Montes on dealers lots around here. You have to really be searching for them.

The Chevy dealer down the street from where I work is setting on an ('02 I think) SS they've had on the lot for over a year now. I didn't think dealers did this as they want to flip the cars asap. I know they want $10.5k for the car. I thought about offering $5k and seeing if they bite?

I used to get cards from the sales lady. But she quit and went to a Furd dealer so no more cards. (I guess this means a date with her is out of the question, too?)

To me the '09/10 Malibus are a nice looking car. Wouldn't mind owning one of them. Just not nice enough for them to get their hands on my '06 Monte.

i've gotten one of those. a couple months ago. it made me giggle. they wanted me to trade in my baby for a cobalt. a COBALT!!!!!!!

when i rented a car in california for the weekend, i always rent through priceline and when i got my confirmation the car was through Alamo. the photo was of an 06/07 monte carlo, which they just put on there as an example. i thought about demanding one when i got into the rental car office i'm pretty sure they don't really have any more of them to rent though. it still makes me laugh that they have montes as their "example" vehicle even though they've been out of production for 2 years.
