My version of a Trunk Lid mat
Only two more steps to go!
Choose what color fabric and wrap/mount to board.
Then mount board.
On to the pictures>>>
This popped up as I was working. My SS steering wheel.
Should be finished by the end of next week as I am taking my LONG time with this! It's no Jarhead... mat but it should surfice.

SLP had a varient of the Monte Carlo which they dubbed the LSX. It was there version of the upgraded Monte Carlo when they produced parts for the W-Body....Hence the Monte Carlo LSX. SLP lower and upper grille, exhaust, steering wheels and shifters, engine mods for the 3800, and wheels the list goes on. The LSX is for the appearance things that I have...and the power to MATCH a V8 LSX engine one day soon.

Learn something new everyday. I didnt even realize GM had an LSX engine.
Now, that still makes no sense why anyone would have a Monte Carlo LSX, because they are front wheel drive cars, so how the heck could an LSX engine go into a Monte???? I don't think it could.
Only thing I can think of is that the Monte Carlo LSX would be aimed at the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gen Monte's!

Place a numerical value in for the X. LS1 LS2 LS3 LS4 But you knew this already. As seen in a previous post.

Thanks Monteman for chiming in.... I figured you'd have the answer... and i did assume it was an SLP version of a Monte Carlo (like a LS "extreme") . I think i'm leaning more and more towards SLP's products. I'm picking up their front grille, and when I do my headers and exhaust, I think again I will be going with SLP. They seem to be the top of the line for Monte Carlos. Again, I appreciate the information, MUCH appreciate and thanks for clearing that up for me.

Has anyone ever seen an "authentic" LSX? I assume you can call yours an LSX replica MonteMan, or is ANY Monte Carlo fitted with a bevy of SLP equipment dubbed an LSX? Did SLP produce a limited number of LSX Monte Carlo's or where they just race cars...I'd like to see an LSX steering wheel and shifter as well.

I don't think they had special steering wheels or shifters. Here is everything you need to know about the SLP Lineup http://www.thecarconnection.com/tips...003-slp-lineup Enjoy!
