What Do You Think Your Monte Will Be Worth In 20 Yrs?
I'm in the same bubble as everyone else lol. It just doesn't seem likely that they'll be collectible. There is too many and they're too everyday to be collectible in my opinion. Maybe i'll be wrong in 20 years, but i don't really think so.
I completely agree with you. I think the GNX diminished the popularity of the Monte in the 80's.
In 20 years my Monte could be worth a lot of money. It will have been melted down and re-poured into a ZO-12 Ultra Corvette with the Mr. Fusion Series IV 1,000 hp engine and traffic bypass flight kit, all with a base price of only $180,000...
Yes I have a crystal ball... and no you can't use it.

Hey bud, refreshing to feel your presence back here on the forum. I was taken aback to see you posting and then immediately happy. The forum has kind of been on the make over of new posting members and rare postings by older members. Almost like a weird changing of the guards, great to see you popping in for a few. Gives the forum an air of familiarity.
The lady at the swap meet said I have to keep the crystal ***** until a revelation on the Winter Solstice. Your posse and you did not have any thing to do with the blood moon did you?
Off to a Roger Water's Movie: The Wall... A one time only showing tonight at 8 pm in Europe and all across the US. Never again in theaters, going to be a great event. Look mummy there's an aeroplane up in the sky!!

I've often been curious when thinking more generic, what cars from the 90's and 2000's will be "remembered" or possibly the next collector car. This excludes the obvious (Camaros, Vettes, Mustangs, Chargers, Challengers).
Sometimes a car gets a crazy value because it was well preserved and was the "under dog" that no one thought to stash (such as I saw on an auction sight a '94 v6 Firebird with almost no miles went for some crazy money).
Do I believe these Montes will see some huge increase in value, not really. First, FWD is not that desirable. Does it matter to me, nope. I love mine and that's what counts. Like many of us, I have a lot of my own hands doing work on the car in mods and maintenance.
I'm not looking to sell it, but everything has a price. Doesn't mean the price has to be reasonable lol.

Yeah Jason I agree, when you really think about it, our car is really like every other fwd car, not even a sports car per day cause it's fwd and it's not even desired. I never see any montes at our track here, all camaro, mustangs, g8, gto, firebirds, corvettes etc..it's a shame they made the ls4 fwd. I was in high school when they first released it and I saw it like omg that's sexy, I told myself I was getting one, not knowing about fwd or rwd in racing at all..kinda a let down but I still love my monte. Will I keep it forever? Probably not considering I'm still young and have no resources to keep things really...will I always love it? Damn right ! =D
I personally was looking into finding a g8 gt..rwd, 4 doors, what's not to love? But they have lots of problems
