what to do next
and the car doesnt run right as it is
IMO- buying a CAI box or FWI would be 1st priority after that for an SC car. Blower whine will make that car 100x more fun to drive.
There are also a lot of basic bolt ons that would make that car significantly faster and more fun to drive while still maintaining reliability and good gas mileage- but if its not running right now, that needs to get fixed first.
You already answered yourself about using wax.
Experience is the best teacher. And you can't get experience if you don't try.
Rule #1 when waxing a car. Make sure the paint is cool to the touch. Do not wax in direct sunlight (meaning part in shade some place).
Doing a clay bar system isn't hard at all. Spray on the detailer that comes in the kit. Squish (or knead) the clay bar in your fingers to soften it before use. Pick a small area and rub the clay bar over the paint. After a few strokes, check the paint surface to see how it feels with your finger? If you feel more imperfections (bumps) you need to continue rubbing with the clay bar.
Start in a non-conspicuous spot first. That way if you get the area you're working on too dry and leave clay marks you can start over again using more detailer.
Just like waxing you need to practice at this to make it look good.

i dont know whats wrong with it, there is some kind of miss when im at full throttle above 3000rpm and not always, only sometimes....im gonna do plugs, wires, belts, and new fluids and filters in the spring and see if that helps
i did wax the car in a shadey spot and let it cool first, but i think i left the wax on the car too long
i really am not too interested in performance mods right now, only things i want to do for sure is the CAI and the downpipe for now
thanks guys
