What did you do to your Monte Carlo today?
Actually quite a busy weekend for my monte.
brought my car to the hobby shop and got it up on a lift. Took all four tires off, removed my front rotors and had them turned. Put the rotars back on, rotated my tires, and put them all back on. Found a nail in my rear left tire so I went out to Autozone and bought a repair kit. It's holding air so i'll keep my fingures crossed.
Also while it was on the lift, dropped the transmission pan, cleaned everything up, replaced the transmission filter, and re-installed everything. Re-filled it with 7.5 quarts of dex vi transmission fluid. I'm sure it was the first time the fluid has been changed in the car so there was a bit of sludge on the magnets in the transmission pan but besides that everything under there looked good.
She is one happy car now!

Rebuilt the trunk with a very Monte Carlo-esque theme to it that I think yall can appreciate.

This part goes over the spare tire. Couple layers of plexi to make it appear 3D.
And went out to MECA Finals (car audio org) and took 3rd place in my class (tough class, too).

Overall, pretty good weekend.

I disconnected the dash trunk popper button and installed another in a hidden place. There is a rash of window smash and access the trunk crimes here, tourists' rental cars like Impalas are the favored target.
Posted a "how to" here, waiting for moderation?
Plan to re-wire the original trunk button to a loud blasting horn. heh heh.
