your horn still works right? I could see the car being broken into and everything getting cut and then the owner just ripping the rest out

 

yes, the horn works....the panic button on the keyless remote works (sounds horn and lights)---just no alarm

 

Well they don't come stock with alarms really, they have the panic and if a window or something is broken or if you unlock the car through the window and open the door then the stock alarm goes off, it's nothing too special, sounds like someone else put one in and took it out but didn't take the time to remove the horn

 

right, I realize that now....I know the factory alarm systems aren't as top-notch as the others, but I want to re-enable it (having the factory alarm is better than no alarm, and cash is a little tight to buy a new system right now).----any clues as to what wires may have been cut or what might have been done to disable it?
