what do headers do?
do you have to relocate the cat?
how much proformance do they add?
how much will they cost?
id be willing to look into them as long as they didnt void the warranty

i have a feeling that im going to have to use it. lol

Headers increase airflow, and create more horsepower. I do however suggest NOT going with Milzy Motorsports for anything.

im pretty sure they are the only ones who mess with 3.5's

it seems the only engine mods are for the 3800's
which is wierd.

i thought the n/a 3800 came at 200 horses and my 3500 came with 211.
i might be wrong but maybe they just made our engines more efficent from the factory.

or maybe aftermarket companies dont think that we will buy there products.

Honestly, they probably are one of the few (if not the only) company that works on 3500 performance parts. I just hope you don't have any issues with them. Don't let him overcharge you either.

The 3.5 in your car is fairly new and it's based on another engine, the 3.9, which is also new. So performance parts for these engines, specially the 3.5, are going to be slow to pop up. The 3.8, on the other hand, has been around for decades and in different flavors, from N/A, S/C and T/C, so there are going to be more performance parts for it.

Not trying to start anything here- but maybe you'll want to read this first:

http://mymonte.com/discussion/topic/...y-motorsports/

Just something I saw on the forums...

do you have to relocate the cat?
how much proformance do they add?
how much will they cost?
These are all questions that probably won't be able to be answered until a company builds a few prototype sets. Some header companies just give you a partial downpipe to weld to your stock cat- some places include a complete downpipe (usually a cat delete, although you can buy an aftermarket cat of the proper size to have welded in)- just depends how they design it.

How much performance they add is going to depend on the design- primary size, tube length, collector style, etc. Heck, even look at the 3800 header market- compare the tiny S&S headers to the huge Pacesetters of a totally different setup- both fro the same engine and same car, yet drastically different in what application they'd be used for.

Cost varies by the shop doing the work, and mainly in what materials they use. Using a mild steel is cheaper, but they'll get rusty unless you coat them- stainless is a good bit more expensive, but will look better for longer.

id be willing to look into them as long as they didnt void the warranty
As with any power adding mod, you're going to be iffy on certain powertrain related repairs- for example, if your transmission breaks a hard part- you'll likely be liable since you added more power, same goes if you melt a sensor or some wiring due to the heat of the headers getting to close to something electrical. Its gonna depend on the dealer.
